My Pages and Numbers documents keeping locking and I cannot save changes!

Within the last 2-3 days, my pages and numbers documents (ones I've created) automatically lock and prevent me from saving any changes. They also won't auto save. I've gone into Get Info and clicked the lock icon in bottom right corner to unlock the file - provide my password and the lock unlocks. I close the Get Info window and then reopen it to find the lock is now locked again. I cannot save any edits to my work.

I tried making a duplicate file only to have the same issue occur again with that file. I didn't change any MAC settings or loading a new OS over the weekend. How can I fix this?
