How can I cancel the merge of people in a photo?

In the People section, they asked me "Is that you in the photo?" (there was me and another person in the photo), I answered "Yes", and all the photos of the other person moved to the folder with my photos. Please tell me how to cancel this and return two folders: one where I am and the second with the second person?

Removing Both merged Faces from People Album (iPhone & Mac):

When you remove a face from the People album on iPhone or Mac using Photos, it doesn't delete the photos themselves.

Here's what happens:

  • Untagged Photos: The photos that were identified as having that person's face are disconnected from their album. They will no longer appear in that specific person's collection within the People album.
  • Facial Recognition Not Reset: Removing a face is isolated to that particular person. Photos will still recognize that face in other photos, but it won't group them under the removed person's album.

Add both the Faces Again.

That should solve the issue.
