Can't find power cord that fits iPad

I bought a 2018 refurbished iPad on Amazon a short while ago. I lost the power cord and have bought 5 so far, none of which fit to replace it. Sorry I don't know proper terms to use.

One end always easily into the adapter, which I have ( and I believe is 20W). But the other end, also an oblong-shaped opening, is too big to fit into the iPad. It fits into my 2021 MacBook Air. I'm very confused because there are so many cords called USB-C of different wattages, but none are small enough to fit into my iPad. Can someone tell me where I can get one? thanks in advance.

Your iPad Power Adapter will either have a USB Type-A port - or the much smaller USB-C port. Your iPad has a Lightning port. As such, you need the matching cable:

  • Lightning to USB Cable (1m)

  • USB-C to Lightning Cable (1m)
