Macbook pro doesn't recognise my new Apple ID password

My laptop has been in storage for a couple of months and now does not recognise

my new apple id used on other devices

has not changed the date and time when daylight saving ended

iMac 27″ 5K, macOS 13.6

You needed an appleID & psswd to post to this support community...(?)

I also have an iMac and iphone. I looked up devices in my Apple ID and only these two - the iMac and iphone are "associated with my account".


I clicked on Forgot Password? on the laptop but I just get an error message.


I tried sending something to the laptop from my phone but the laptop comes up with the message "Your device date is inaccurate! Adjust your clock and try again"


I'm getting a strange message in mail because it can't connect to iCloud.
