ios 17.4.1 calls

I kinda recently updated my iPhone 13 from software 16.x to 17.4, and while I like most of the new features, I’ve noticed my phone calls have taken a hit.

if I’m on a call with someone, using either my phone number or an app like discord, I can’t turn off the screen. You know how use your power button to turn off the screen? Can’t do it. It hangs up my call, then I can press it again to turn off the screen. I used to be able to turn off the screen and stay in call without a problem on 16.x. Is it just me?

the only way my screen goes black while on call is if I cover the photoresistor by the top speaker. But that leads into another glitch. If I cover that photoresistor or put my phone face down while on speaker phone, there’s roughly 25% chance it’ll hang up after 8-13 seconds. No explanation, no notice, just a beep-beep-beep of disconnection.

I’m a little tired of these two glitches, considering it impacts my daily life, so any help would by nice or if there could be a software patch made?
