Is the Pay TV Provider app legit? I had what I suspect to be a scam call claiming to be from eBay that the app is malware, and my iPhone is compromised, but that it could be removed remotely by providing personal details. Has anyone else encountered a similar request?

If you don't want that app on your phone, you can delete it yourself.

This call is a scam. Companies will never ask you to provide personal details in order to remove malware.
