Since iOS 17 I have this issue where the Status Icons and text stays white on white backgrounds. I hope that this will be fixed on 17.5 or iOS 18. I tried every solution and nothing helped…

It will change automatically based on Wallpaper Colour. Lighter Colour wallpapers will have black letters and darker wallpapers will have white colour letters.

Yours seems to be a device-specific issue. Do not keep hope that that will change with either iOS 17.5 or iOS 18 for your device.
