It's May 1, 2024 and I woke up and all of a sudden when I try to send a iMessage hands free Siri keeps asking what messaging app to use when texting? How do I set the default messaging app to be iMessage?

iMessage requires the internet. You may not have enabled send as SMS, Settings > Message Send as SMS [Enabble]
