Replacing MacBook Air (13-inch, Mid 2012) hard drive

Hi, My MacBook Air (13-inch, Mid 2012) hard drive has failed and cannot be used, I have retrieved all the data from it and want to find out if i can replace it.

my questions are:

• Can it be replaced?
• What hard drive is compatible?

I followed instructions from Jack-19 to install an SSD as my Start-up disk on an old Imac and it worked a treat, so thanks Jack-19.
