How To Search Safari Bookmarks

There are 2 ways to search Safari bookmarks that are active browser favorites, using menu items.

Bookmarks › Edit Bookmarks › use top right Search.
View › Show Sidebar › next, hover sidebar › scroll down with mouse › use Search Favorites field that appears.

But using Safari, how to search and explore Safari Favorites that are exported bookmarks, and therefore inactive and archived Favorites, while maintaining the existing Favorites?
