Bluetooth mic not working with iPhone14

Problem: Bluetooth mics (any brand) don’t work in any app.

Resolution: Settings > Accessibility > Hearing Devices > Hearing Aid Compatibility > turn on

I’ve never used hearing aids in my life, and I don’t have any currently. Turning on the compatibility also turns off noise cancellation, so I’m not sure if turning that off is what fixed it. Either way, Bluetooth microphones FINALLY WORK on my iPhone!

Please let me know if there is a more streamlined solution.
