Enterprise iOS Apps Integrity Issue

Issue: Released Enterprise iOS apps Integrity Issue

Issue Description: While installing app from Enterprise portal showing the error as "This app cannot be installed because its integrity could not be verified." whereas app has 1 month time to get certificate expiration. All the Enterprise apps are not getting installing by throwing the same error

App Released Date: 12th March 2024

Released App Expiration Date: 24th May 2024

Enterprise Certificate Expiration Date: 25th May 2024

App Installation Failed showing Integrity Issue: On 30th April 2024

Enterprise App Certificate Renewal for One Year Done on 12th April 2024

As per Apple Policies, already released apps will not get affected by any changes in certificates renewals, only further app releases will get impact of certificate changes

We made 2 successful app releases by changing certificate renewals whereas already released apps not get affected by certificate changes until we release new build for apps

Could anyone please guide us with any information about this issue fix and cause of the issue?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Contact your IT administrator or MDM provider to obtain the latest MDM profile.

  1. Is this your corporate iPhone? Then please contact the system administrator of your corporate
  2. If it is your personal device, in that case, do you have any profile installed by your corporate/organisation/enterprise/School Management?
    1. Erase the profile added by you If you have installed a profile on your own --> Install or remove configuration profiles on iPhone - Apple ...
    2. Or please contact the system administrator of the organisation who provided the profile to you
  3. If you want to turn on SSL trust for that certificate, go to Settings > General > About > Certificate Trust Settings. Under "Enable full trust for root certificates," turn on trust for the certificate. Apple recommends deploying certificates via Apple Configurator or Mobile Device Management (MDM). --> Trust manually installed certificate profiles in iOS and iPadOS ...

Even though Enterprise certificates have a longer validity period, provisioning profiles still need to be regenerated whenever the certificate is renewed. Double-check if the provisioning profile used to sign the app matches the renewed certificate.

  1. MDM Verification Issue:
    1. If you're using Mobile Device Management (MDM) for app distribution, there might be a verification issue with the MDM server or the app signing identity.
    2. Check your MDM server logs for any errors related to app verification.
    3. Try re-uploading the signed app to your MDM server.
  2. Device Trust Issue:
    1. For the first time installing an app signed with a specific enterprise certificate, users might need to trust the developer profile on their devices.
    2. Instruct users to navigate to Settings > General > Device Management (or Profiles) and trust the certificate associated with the app developer.
