Detecting and removing Pegasus spyware on an iPhone SE
Can anyone advise how one can detect whether Pegasus spyware has been installed on an iPhone SE (iOS 17.4.1) and how to deal with it if it has?

hey, I haven't been opening my emails lately but, decided to open them yesterday 5/27/24.
While I was looking at my junk email I saw an email titled "i have hacked you" and it was sent on saturday 5/25/24 using my email. they also claimed that it was a pegasus?
the email said the exact same thing you described 10 days ago. i was wondering what happened after? was it real? is it a scam? 48 hours for me would be tommorow, so I would appreciate it if you could respond. im just really paranoid and have been trying to keep calm and figure things out.

I was sent a email from my Apple ID saying they hacked me, and was going to send pictures of my family onto to the web for everyone if I didn’t send $$ in 48
I recieved the same email 2 days ago.
should I be concerned, since I'm truly paranoid right now.
Actually, I was reading and searching for answers on the "ask the community" tab and saw that others experienced the same thing and from reading comments, I saw that it was a scam and to just delete the message. I was honestly so scared but I'm glad I got my answers :)
Hi everyone, i haven't checked my email for a while. But i got the same email. I dont know what to do.

No, unless you provided personal or financial information to the scammers.
Otherwise delete the email and do not interact with the message or the sender.
Ignore and delete the message. Never click on a link in a message like this.
A non-jailbroken phone cannot be hacked, get malware, or a virus. Why do you think you have a problem?

Don’t do anything. Ignore the email and do not respond in any way.
No one from Apple sent you a message.
Don't be tricked by scams.
The scam message that you received has been around for years.
