"Stolen Device Protection" feature as a Technician.
Hello, this is my first time writing here. I work for a telecommunication services company in the guarantee services area, and we are authorized to replace iPhones if they are within the guarantee range. For us "Stolen Device Protection" setting has been a nightmare because the client needs to disable it so that the "Find My Iphone" feature (or to log out the account off the phone) can be disabled and so be able to move forward with the replacement of the unit and that's a full hour that the client needs to wait for it to be off and that's without counting the time we take to do the guarantee process and it's even worse if the client doesn't know their icloud password or if the device doesn't turn on we have to wait a month by disabling the "Find my" from icloud.com. We understand that this feature is so that our devices are protected from thieves and such but I think this needs to be less of a hassle beacause it's been a problem for the past months and we even had angry customers and we can't do anything about it because thats an Apple feature and not from the telecommunications company's. I write this to see if any other technician out there (that has apple's permission to work in their systems) has having the same problem and if there is a workaround to this type of problem like calling apple to disable it at the momment or something like that or if we are doing something wrong. Thank you very much.
