Query reqarding Safari data storage on an Intel iMac.

Hello

By way of an experiment, I started my computer in Recovery using Command +R and connected to Apple's server. I then used Disk Utility to erase my Fusion drives. I then immediately installed MacOS Ventura 13.6.6 and restarted my computer - when it sprung into life, it was 'just like new'!

What a surprise, though, to then find that all my Safari history and Favorites are still available! I checked in my iCloud but Safari isn't there ....

So, my question is, where was/is all my Safari data actually stored?

Does anyone reading here know the answer, please?

Thanks.

Safari does sync with iCloud but you cannot view the Safari data as a web app.

It is a tad hidden in System Settings on modern macOS admittedly, but here you see that you can find it in iCloud settings under Manage Storage and Apps Using iCloud
