I lost the recovery key to my Appleid. It won’t let me sing inn and I still have the phone number attached to the account but no option to send code.

You can try and get a new verification code if you have still access to one of your trusted devices:
Go to your Apple ID account page. Sign in with your password and trusted device. In the Security section, click Edit > Replace Lost Key.
If your recovery key remains lost please enroll in account recovery
