apple tv not responding to tv remote

Suddenly my TV remote not being able to work and or navigate around Apple 4K tv,

which has worked well for a number of years without any problems.

I have looked on line as other people have the same problem, and think it’s caused by an Apple software update glitch.

Hoping that you are aware of the problem and sorting out asap to resolve the glitch?
