How to remove unusual white strip on iPhone 14 Pro Max?

I’m trying to remove the white, thick, transparent strip towards the bottom of my iPhone 14 Pro Max, seen in the attached image at the level of the Flashlight and Camera icons. I didn’t drop or damage my phone, it just randomly appeared one morning and won’t go away. It’s present in all apps, not affecting performance, but it’s annoying to have it constantly there. It’s transparent, almost as if it’s highlighting whatever it’s covering towards the bottom of the screen. I’ve tried hard restarting, iOS update, changing wallpaper, etc., but nothing works. Please help!

Photo credit: This is a photo I found online from someone else with the same exact problem from a few years ago. I believe this is a 13 Pro Max, but the strip on my phone looks just like this. I was hoping they’d say what their solution was, only they never updated their post. Thanks to anyone who can help me.

I believe you have a hardware issue with your screen. Schedule an appointment at your Apple Store Genius for evaluation and service options --> Genius Bar Reservation and Apple Support Options - Apple
