Mac Keyboard Not Working. Mouse always right-clicks instead of normal clicking.

So I cleaned my Mac as I usually do with a damp cloth, and it was working just fine.

A few hours later, the mouse in the laptop was giving me trouble. Every time I clicked normally, it would control-right click instead.

then eventually the keyboard stopped working. Some of the keys work but they do the complete wrong functions (“P” works as an up-arrow).

Every time I’ve tried restarting it or shutting it down, the keyboard only works when I enter my password. The mouse works like normal for a minute until it goes back to right click feature.

ive restarted it and shut it down many times and I’ve even updated it.

Obviously I won’t clean it like this in the future (even though it’s never been a problem) but I’d love to know what I can do now.

thanks!
