lost airpods says home but not

hi i lost my airpods 3 weeks ago the last place i had them was at work .. thats where they died so on the find my app it said the last location was at my job. so boom yesterday i got something in my phone that said my airpods connected .. i was confused because i lost them! and the location says home (with me) but aren’t! a was fully charged on 94 .. no one in the house has them i searched everywhere and it’s strange because last place they were dead was at work.. how would they be home and fully charged if i searched everywhere and they aren’t found..?

It sounds like Find My was able to locate your AirPods. You can mark them as Lost with the steps listed at: Find your lost AirPods

Turn on Lost Mode:

On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, open the Find My app.
Go to the Devices tab, and choose your AirPods.
Scroll down to Mark as Lost, and select Activate.
Follow the onscreen steps if you want your contact information to display for your missing AirPods.
Select Activate.
