Cannot add card to Apple Pay on my iMac

There was previously a card in my Wallet on my iMac (my Apple card). When I went to make a purchase today, it just said that I needed to "Verify" the details of the card, but it would not allow me to do so. I saw on another thread where it was suggested to remove the card and add it back. So I tried that, but when I did, it just throws an error that says "Contact Apple Support for more information". Retina 5K 27-inch 2019 iMac running Sonoma 14.4.1. Did Apple break Apple Pay on my iMac with an update?
