Second hand HomePod mini flashing orange but when holding the top, Siri says it cannot connect to the wifi.won’t reset

I bought a second hand HomePod mini and a 20w plug. The HomePod flashes orange which I’ve read indicates it hasn’t got enough power, but when pressing the top Siri says it cannot find the internet. (Indicating it does have enough power to work)

Ive tried resetting by powering off and holding the middle but it doesn’t work.

any ideas?
