Maroon line on highway lane.

On Apple Maps, a maroon or purple line means an unusual road condition. For my road, it meant “Lane test in progress “. Traffic was normal, though the dark line started with a “minus” sign. A “minus sign can mean “road closed”. My road was not closed, but wide open. There was some road construction far off the side of the road. It did not affect the lanes at all. The lanes in the opposite direction were also open, but with a lane shift by the maroon/purple lanes in my direction. Safe travels!
