Airpod goes undetected when out of case

It all started when my right AirPod made a pop noise while in use and suddenly stopped playing sound. My right 2nd gen airpod will not connect after that. It is detectable in the case and it is fully charged. When I take the airpod out of the case it goes undetectable and I cannot view where is it or the battery status. When I place it in my ear it doesn’t connect at all.
