Can not update MacBook Air (12 inch retina early 2015)

Hello. The computer is running Yosemite 10.10.5. So I head to "SW update", hit the button, here comes the App Store. Get the little grey wheel and the message "looking for updates" and after a few seconds, the message " no updates available" pops up.

Could anyone help me!

I need to update my OS and then download the usual suspects (pages, numbers, keynote at least!). Whenever I try to do that with my current OS, I get the message "Can not install this upgrade because it requires OS 13 or later"

So the real question is: how to install (older versions) of said software (pages, numbers, keynote) in the computer? Do I still need to upgrade OS? I have read this Macbook only goes up to Monterey (OS 12) so... I am lost.

You can upgrade a MacBook (Retina, 12-inch, Early 2015) to macOS 11 (Big Sur) – but not to Monterey, Ventura, or Sonoma. If you upgrade to Catalina or Big Sur, 32-bit applications will stop working, and iTunes will go away, replaced by separate applications and by Finder-based syncing.

If you upgrade, I would strongly suggest making a bootable clone backup before upgrading – just in case something goes wrong, and you need a place to start up from, and/or a way to recover your data.
