iPad Pro 5th gen trackpad cursor clicks on its own

After using the trackpad to move the cursor, if I stop scrolling the trackpad, or even after clicking what I’m looking for, the cursor will show a bar almost immediately. The “bar” takes about 2 seconds to make a full circle around the cursor and it clicks on whatever the cursor is on. The pointer settings helped none. How can I change this???
