I go into deleted photos to clear photos however they're not deleting. The bar keeps running back and forth saying its deleting them all night long however they're not deleting. Libraries are on an external drive. I'm running the updated version on iMac

How is the external drive formatted?
Do you have iCloud Photos enabled?
Are you running a "managed" or "referenced" library?
Download and run Etrecheck.
Copy the report
and use the Additional Text button to paste the report in your reply.
Then we can examine the report and see if we can determine the cause of the problem.
Try and restart the Mac to see if the issues are persisting
I tried no luck
Make sure that the external drive that holds your Photos Libraries, is connected and mounted.
BTW, do you have any of the following third party apps installed on your Mac?
· Antivirus Apps
· Cleaning Apps
· Security Apps
· VPN Apps
· Maintenance Apps
I do have cleaning apps but these photos are from the duplicated photo finder in photos that ive merged
