I am unable to reboot my iPad?

My iPad suddenly went to the black screen of death and no matter how hard I tried I couldn’t get the Lock Screen to appear. You could see that there was power on the black backlit. After researching a bit, I updated the software with my MacBook and finally was able to access the iPad again, but now it flashes black screen then back to the regular screen. I don’t ever see the apple sign. The flashes get progressively longer, then are quick again. Is there a step I didn’t do correctly or what law could be wrong?

You might be best advised to seek assistance directly from Apple Support - and request a remote diagnostic test. You can contact the Support Team using the Support link at top-right or bottom-left of this page.

Alternatively, you can initiate and manage your support cases from Apple devices using the excellent Apple Support App. If not already installed, the App can be downloaded from the App Store:

You might also visit the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store or Apple Authorised Service Provider (AASP) - where the technicians will be able to offer assistance:
