Sound dropping on Airplay from iPad to SamsungTV

Using the Sportsnet App, a ball game plays properly on a new Samsung TV for a complete inning. However, the sound drops out from time to time, mostly after a commercial break. To get it started again, the Stop box is selected, then the Play triangle and all is well again for the complete inning.

It seems something in the Sportsnet broadcast ‘return from commercial’ program is causing this loss of audio.
