Setting up yahoo email. Forwarding to Apple mail on iPad iOS 17. Need to install SMTP outgoing servers?

"Forwarding"? Do you simply mean you're using Apple's Mail app to access a Yahoo address? If so, no explicit server information need be added if you simply choose "Yahoo" from Mail's "Add Account" feature.
