How to cancel and request a refund an Astroline subscription that was purchased online?

I want to get a refund of my astroline subscription. I did not download the apps so the transaction happens through online. Can you pls. Help me get the refund?

If the subscription was made online at their website, then it must be cancelled there as well as any refund. If you are unable to resolve the issue with the company directly, then your only option is to dispute the charge with your credit card company. In this case, you will not see the subscription when attempting to cancel using the method provided by Apple.


Apple is only able to cancel subscriptions or issue refunds when they are made through an in-app purchase where you will double click the side button with the amount showing on the screen followed by verification using FaceID/TouchID or passcode. To cancel the subscription:

If you want to cancel a subscription from Apple - Apple Support

And to request a refund:

Request a refund for apps or content that you bought from Apple - Apple Support

If you do not see the subscription, then it was likely done on the website.

You will need to continue to work with them to cancel your subscription. Apple is not able to manage any subscription where they were bypassed by signing up with the company directly. If you continue to have trouble with cancelling the subscription, then you will need to dispute the charge with the payment method that was used for the purchase.


In the future, evaluate how you came across this website. Currently there are many ads going around Social Media apps and websites where the poster is getting paid for you to click their link to sign up for a subscription. This is not always the best approach to discover new apps and signing up for a subscription directly with any company requires you to cancel with them as well. Try and stick with the App Store using in-app purchases where the subscription are managed by Apple and can be cancelled through them without having to deal with a third party website.

If you signed up online and did not make an in-app purchase, then Apple has no part in managing the subscription. You will need to contact the website of Astroline to cancel or request a refund.

Also review how you were led to this website. Was this from a Social Media post or a Website advertisement. In either case you will not want to fall for that again.

This Support Article may provide some more details about purchases made outside the App Store, and also has the link to check your purchase history to make sure the subscription is not being managed by Apple.

About purchases not billed through the App Store or the App Store's In-App Purchase system - Apple Support


For any subscription made outside of the App Store, you will need to cancel the subscription as well as request a refund directly with them. This app has been advertised heavily on Social Media apps and web pages that will link you directly to their site to start a free trial that turns into a subscription. Just because they also have an app, does not mean the subscription was made using an in-app purchase that is managed by Apple.


Astroline even has a web page dedicated to showing you how to cancel the subscription as well as requesting a refund. In the future, if you want subscriptions to be managed by Apple where they can be easily cancelled, then stick with In-App Purchases and avoid signing up for any trial/subscription directly on a web site.

First, you need to cancel the subscription by going to Settings > [name on top] > Subscriptions, then choose the subscription and you will have the option to cancel it.

If you signed up for a free trial, it needs to be cancelled at least 24 hours before the trial period ends to avoid being charged for the subscription. Requesting a refund for a Purchase in the App Store is not guaranteed, but you can try here:

You will also want to figure out how the subscription was started. This could be done if you are the Organizer of a Family Plan that allows other family members to use your payment method for purchases or if someone else knows the Passcode to your device. apple says that i need to ask the developer for refund myself or ask for services “which are already completed by me without the purchase delivery and same event for game is expired”

they charge extra for the items, they dont deliver the items, they reject our claim by saying you are not eligible.

As you can see in my response, I replied to the OP who stated they did not download the app. Without having the app, there is no way you can make an in app purchase.


I had no idea what you were talking about when you claim that the "same event for game is expired" when Astroline is simply a Horoscope app that offers subscriptions and is not a game that has events to play. The one thing that I would correct on your post is when you say "apple charges additional amount for the same purchase in android". Apple does not set the price of any purchase and that is only done by the developer of the App. Both Apple and Google charge the same 15% commission for in-app purchases on developers making less than $1 million per year. This is included in the price that the developer sets. For proof, you can read this article:

As I said, it is the developer that sets the price. Apple does not set the price of the apps or the in-app purchases that the developer offers. If the developer chooses to charge more for their app on the App Store than what they do on the Google Play store, it is their choice. I didn't just make a claim of the commission being the same on the 2 stores, I gave you proof.


In any case, your complaint of BGMI charging more for the in-app purchases on the App Store has nothing to do with the issue the OP had. Stick to the topic on the top of the page.
