When installing Yosemite from boot up, server gives an error 403 forbidden when prompter to log in with Apple ID

It’s been a Whitley since i tinkered with Macs but decided to give it a try again when I got an old iMac dirt cheap.

It’s a bit slow but finally managers to boot into Reinstall OS X. Yosemite is chosen, would work for me.

I choose Reinstall OS X, Connect to Wi-Fi, and proceeds. But when i try to enter my Apple id, i get ”The server gave an error during download: 403 Forbidden”

I tried entering just ranson letters and still get the same error.

what is wrong here?

Is the Date/Time correct on your Mac?

What OS is it running now if any?

Have you tried aqny of these onstartup?

Command (⌘)-R Install the latest macOS that was installed on your Mac.

Option-⌘-R Upgrade to the latest macOS compatible with your Mac.

Shift-Option-⌘-R Install the macOS that came with your Mac, or the closest version still available.

In Single User Mode, CMD+s keys or Restore Mode, CMD+r keys on startup...

Hello! Hos do I check that? On the top right there is only Wi-fi symbol and language. On the top left there is Apple logo with restarting and turn off. Som other menues that doesn’t involve. Date/time.

Where do I set Time and date? Or see it? It is booting from the recovery partition if its any help.

My date and time was a little off by som minutes. I set the Time and date as described in the link. But still get that 403 Forbidden when trying to sign in. Tried changing from wi-fi to hotspot on my phone but still the same.

is it time to put it back in the trash? 😅

There is no OS at the moment, but the recovery partition seems to be set to Yosemite.

I tried those commands, (option key is alt, Right?) but notering happened. Did it when restarting, both before the chime and after. Hammering it until the Apple logo shows.

But still the same screen as booting normally.

Yes alt=Option.

Hammering? Just hold the 2, 3, or 4 keys down at first light of the screen, they must be depressed & held down before the Apple Logo shows & held down until stuff shows on the screen.
