WhatsApp not having access to contacts.

this is driving me crazy. I have WhatsApp installed on both my iPhone and OSX and linked.

On OSX the app does not have access to the contacts, meaning when I want to start a new conversation with any new contact, I need to do it on my phone first, before being able to continue the conversation on the osx.

I tried to delete all multiply times, both installation from app and from file on official website, doesn't fix it.

Whatsapp should show up here on OSX, but it doesnt.

What do i do? I seems like some permissions at some point just got stuck in no access.

Here on IOS no problem with access to contacts.

Whatsapp version: Version 24.8.85 (592606632)

if you have installed CleanMyMac, it "cleans" all sorts of things and interferes in ways that are not known by ordinary users here.

The idea that a third party, with no special knowledge of the inner workings of MacOS, can somehow find a simple way to protect or optimize your computer — that is not already being done by MacOS itself — suggests that the MacOS developers are somehow "holding out on you". That is absurd.

You should remove any and all (other than Apple built-in) virus scanners, speeder uppers, optimizers, cleaners, App deleters or VPN packages you installed yourself, or anything of that ilk.
