My old (at least 15 years old) died again. Complete failure can’t even get to Recovery Mode. Hard drive replaced once already. I just want to remove hard drive to recycle the rest of the equipment. How do I do that?

Just to be sure, is this an iMac? Regardless, to disassemble your Mac to access its drive, I suggest that you review the iFixIt repair guide for your particular Mac model.
If you don't need any of the data on the existing drive, you can take your Mac to your local Apple Store and they can dispose of it properly for you.
