Syncing I Pod Touch with I Tunes Library

Recently, I have been unable to get my Ipod Touch (6th generation) to sync with my I Tunes library in Windows 11. When I press Sync, it goes through the motions, but the content of the I pod Touch is unchanged and does not mirror what is in the I Tunes library. How to I resolve this problem?
