Does anyone else use "Display Zoom" setting option, from iOS v17.4.1's Settings' Display & Brightness?

I love the small physical size and light weight, but dang it's hard to see the tiny display contents with my old compound eyes. I noticed some features don't work like can't put iOS v17.4.1's Messages app in landscape mode to reveal its handwriting option. Is this by design? I have seen some third party apps with missing texts for being cropped off. :(

Read your messages comfortably in landscape on iPhone without anything getting cut off in the iOS Message App. See the pic below
