Home app glitchy: wont load homepod alarms

Both my wife and I constantly have a very long lag or no connection at all to our HomePods Alarms and Timers. It’s the same problem on two different iPhone with 4 different HomePods. Most of the time (but not always) we can see and change the music, but alarms and timers are sketch.

Happens even when we are within 3ft of the HomePod we are trying to adjust the alarms or timers.
