How to disable "show in mail" icon in Finder post Sonoma update

In Sonoma OSX documents which arrived by email and which are saved to disk are annotated with an icon in Finder which links back to the original email.

Even if the file is edited and "saved as" a different named file, the icon still returns you to the original document saved deep in OSX's email library. Even if the original email is permanently deleted, the icon remains (but in this case just returns you to the last moved to mailbox/bin.

How do I set it so that I NEVER see the link icon in the first place. It is not a feature I value or need. Indeed I would go so far as to say I am hostile to it.

Thank you

Drag the document from the email onto or into a folder of your choice

This should actually save the document with its original name in that location

I am aware there is a similar, closed, thread on this very subject but Apple have not seen fit to respond (even though a moderator viewed and changed the subject title) and the only answer is a workaround, not a fix.

The Moderators of Apple will edit or re-title a question when they find a reason to do so.

I would appreciate a response from Apple telling the community how to remove this feature and, if it is not possible to remove it, to add such an option at the earliest opportunity.

Be aware these are User to User Forums

Apple does not monitor there Forums for users requests to add or remove features
