How do I insert a blank sheet in Numbers?

Each time I open numbers it ask me to choose a template. What if I do not want a template, I just want a blank spreadsheet screen. Maybe numbers only works with tables that are in the templates?

Just started using numbers and guess I was expecting a screen of blank cells that I could start working with.

Any help is appreciated

If you don't want to see the template chooser note that you can go to Numbers > Settings ... and choose 'Use Template' to tell Numbers to use your preferred template when you start a new document. That could be the "Blank" template or any other, even your own custom template.
