Continuously receiving a pop up asking me to sign into my Apple ID and shows my old email id

I changed the email associated to my Apple ID years ago. I continuously receive a pop up asking me to sign into my Apple ID and it shows the old email that is no longer associated to my Apple ID. I can’t even use my Apple ID for iMessage due to this problem. What can I do to fix this issue? It’s also causing problems on my new iPhone I just got yesterday.

Wondering if this pop up just started as you got a new Apple device? If you changed Apple IDs years ago, you as such have been using Messages successfully linked to the new Apple ID. The types of things that can cause this kind of issue can sometimes using an older Apple device you haven’t been using, or an app on a device that needs updating but cannot because it is on a device signed in on the new Apple ID. If iCloud is still active with the old Apple ID and a new device pulled from that. If you still have access to the old email and a phone number for verification you may be able to sign in from Settings>Messages - sign in to the new Apple ID.

It has actually been happening since I made the change. My iMessage has only been being used with my phone number. Anytime I try to sign into iMessage on my old or new device it pops up asking to sign in with my correct Apple ID email so I click sign in and nothing comes up for a while and when it finally does it’s asking me to sign in and showing the old email.
