How to connect my iPhone via HDMI cable to the TV after update?

Post iOS 17 update, has anyone out there figured out how to connect my iPhone via HDMI cable to the television to stream shows off my phone?

Why won’t iPhone 16e connect to TV via USB C / HDMI adapter? As a tech teacher I need my new 16e to be able to plug into the various TVs I teach on. Most of the TVs don’t have wireless mirroring capabilities and I need to be able to connect via HDMI cable.
