iCloud for Windows iCloud Photos View in Microsoft Photos

I’m using windows 11

I’m in the iCloud for Windows program

I go to iCloud Photos

I clicked on “View in Microsoft Photos”

It opens up the Windows Photos program

At the bottom of the page it shows “Getting things

read  Your iCloud Photos will be added to

your gallery”

After a couple minutes, then this warning appears:

Oops! Please add iCloud to Folders

You need to add your iCloud Photos folder to the Folders Section

to see your photos.

I clicked on the “Add folder” button

File Explorer opened.

I’m in Data (D:) drive.

I already have a folder I created “iCloud Pics”

I click on Select Folder

It jumps to the Microsoft Photo app again.

A box appears:

This folder already exists in Photos

The selected folder “iCloud Pics” has already been added

to Microsoft Photos.

There is an option to “Go To Folder” or “Cancel”

I clicked on “Go To Folder”

Now this appears:

Browse subfolders or add photos here

You have no photos in this folder.  You can check your subfolders

for photos, or drag and drop photos to this folder.

Why won’t the photos appear for me?

Thank you!

Windows, Windows 10
