Need Help to download some CD music, to my Mac Mini

I am retired and not very computer savvy. I have a number of CD's with music that I can't find/buy from anyone on-line. So I would like to buy something , an external drive that can play a CD, which I can then transfer to the computer. Don't know which drives (or anything else) to buy that works easily with the Apple Mac Mini. HELP, please. Ken

Which model / year of Mac Mini do you have exactly? Apple Menu ➜ About This Mac.

Pretty much any CD / DVD drive will work, but you may need an adapter if you have a more recent Mac Mini with USB-C ports.

I use a randomly named Gotega drive that works fine for both my very old 2011 Mac Mini and my much newer M1 MacBook Air via a USB-C adapter.
