How to enable auto-rotation for camera on iPhone 15 Pro

My wife has a relatively new iPhone 15 Pro. She asked me why when she turns the camera to horizontal the image on the screen doesn't rotate. I've never seen this and after looking through settings, etc., I can't find an answer. Is this a setting, a glitch or? Any help would be gratefully received.
