Files disappearing from my MacBook Air when autosaved

Im having trouble when I hit autosave on a word document. I preferably use autosave option, and recently after the newest update, when hitting autosave the file disappears out of the folder it was originally in. And cant be found elsewhere. I have friends having the same problem, so its not just me.

Can anyone help?
