Automator - hacking device ?

I recently found some suspiscios folders in USER>SHARED and that concerned me a lot. So i deleted it and i could. And this app Automator started popping up even tho i never used it! Does someone have something to share about this ? Please help

Automator is part of the OS. It's right in the Applications folder.


Most likely, an app you installed put a folder in the Shared folder to run functions it needs. By deleting the folder, the app can no longer do what it's supposed to, and Automator pops up because it can't find the action it's supposed to run in the background.

In what context does Automator appear, and does it show any messages when it does (e.g. some error message)?
