Samsung SSD T9 with M2 Macbook Air

Is the M2 Macbook Air (USB 4) compatible with the Samsung SSD T9? Instructions that come with the Samsung SSD T9 warn that the drive is "designed to be connected to USB 3.2 and use of non-compatible or incompatible devices and interface ports may result in personnel injury, damage to both devices and/or property damage. The use of incompatible USB ports or file format settings may result in poor performance or malfunction of both devices." Pretty scary stuff! I understand that USB 4 is back-compatible with USB 3.2, so it seems it should work OK without any of the above issues. But would still appreciate hearing about any experience with use of the T9 with M2 Air. Thanks.
