Menu Bar - only right half is showing

Only the right half of my menu bar displays. When I hover my cursor over the left half, the appropriate dropdown menus appear but there is no image of the "Apple" or the app.

I did try going to system preferences to turn the "hide and show" the menu bar off and on but it didn't help.

Any suggestions on how to have my menu bar back to normal?
