audio from dual studio monitors simultaneously?

I have dual studio monitors for my studio computer. It's a beautiful set up. Currently you can only route audio, from let's say Spotify, to one monitor at a time. Do you think it would be possible for apple to add a feature that would allow you to route audio to both monitors simultaneously and to designate one of them to the left channel, and the other to the right channel for stereo?
