Receipts and POS machine turn French when I use Apple Wallet

When I tap to pay with my Tangerine Mastercard the point of sale device and the receipt are in French. This does not happen when I use the physical card or my other cards. I have seen other people on here with the same issue, but I haven't seen a solution posted anywhere. I spoke to someone from Apple on the phone but they were unable to resolve the issue. It’s weird. Just randomly started happening.

• iTunes Store appears in English for me
• Apple ID is set to English
• Region is set to Canada
